sick mum and i

sigh... my mum fell sick yesterday. from yesterday night till today evening, the amount of time she dedicated to getting out of bed is less than 5%. that must have been a 'WOW' in your mind. if not, it sure was in mine. i did not knew how she managed that, but it was quite incredible. took some time taking care of her, but soon felt groggy. i tried lying down on the bed for a while, in the end, i end up sleeping. lOl. just got woke up by a call. a call asking me to go work at geylang. the price she told me was ok, but its the once-per-week deal that got me going. i know it isn't much... but its only once per week, might as well. ok, before anyone start fantansizing about all the wrongs than the rights, i shall explain. i am going there to give tuitions. yea, tuitions for sec 1. i understand its hard for you to imagine me teaching english, maths and science there after my earlier description, but try your best to follow up. yup. tuition at geylang. i was forewarned that the location is near the red light district. in front of it is the red light district, but i will be teaching at the back. ok, i dun really understand what the hell was that... but $220 a month, 4 lessons of 3 hr each... anyone as desperate as me might well consider it huh? at least i won't have to make 2 trips down per week down to geylang. when its time for me to enter university, its also easier for me i suppose. with this and the current student i have in AMK, thats 2. financially speaking, this isn't enough for me to pay for my expenses in uni... tuition fee, hostel fee, allowance... but i am afraid that i might be too busy with tuitions in the end. anyone has the same experience to share with me?

Superband (6th round result)

omgggggggggggg!!! 馒头 survived!!! guess what that means? 馒头 is gonna go as far as 夏日风 gonna be. they overcame 6.5 points deficit to eliminate Amber! quite a feat from the low-profilic band i must say. i was shocked to see Amber and Brods to be the last 2 on the stage. i was thinking 'wtf?! Brods? really?' but luckily, Amber was the one out. the only thing i could say that... it was an act of bliss that Amber is out. be prepared to see 馒头 in the top 6 at the very least.

Superband (6th round)

YaY! monday again! why am i soooo excited? because... 夏日风 gonna sing 夜曲!!! will they be heeding the judges' advice, or will they be insisting on their very own 'style'? omg! aren't you excited?! anyway, thats not the main reason. i am very interested how some bands will flop when the restriction of song choices kicks in. i really wonder how will the judges react to them too. i have 0 confidence in the judges, was in the past, and now still is. so, i will be giving my very own scoring as usual after the show ended. and also, the prediction of the night. thankfully, judges' % is down to 30% again and their scoring will be REVEALED again. no more underhand stuff until the final 4. i can forsee 夏日风 to be surviving until the last few groups where they will be eliminated when singing records are taken into consideration. the organisers are just bloodsuckers, feeding on the money of the poor souls who voted so faithfully every week. it should be time those people wake up their mind. a couple of calls doesn't hurts, but i don't think this is the case for those hardcore fans. i shan't comment on their sanity, as they are the poor victims of a devious ploy. anyway, i am not expecting any good performances other than from BRODS, J3, SOUL, Juz-B and 迷路兵. 迷路兵 is quite worrying too. they are going to sing 不想长大 by S.H.E. singing a female song doesn't sounds good, not for anyone. hopefully their wits and humours can provide us with yet another entertaining performance. lets rock on! *anyway, from the comments of the judges, the contestants were given a list of songs to choose from. that explains why they commented on their choice of songs*

there isn't anything much i could comment on their performances today. it wasn't really exciting and was kinda boring imo. but still, their voices are good, maybe not the best tonight. they took up the challenge of singing a song by 信乐团 and you have to give them credits for the completion of the challenge. i agreed with the judge's comment in regards to the wrong choice of song. there isn't much room for them to give an out-of-the-world performance in this song. but hey, they did performed well tonight. there's no denying huh?

was worried right from the start. after listening to their performance, its like a nightmare came true. i wasn't saying how bad it was, but an indication that my worries came true. the singing was ok, as there weren't much variation available. to be crude, it was boring listening to the song. a song to avoid at all cost i must say. the music isn't very good too. was a very average performance. i wouldn't want my campmate to be in the relegation fight... but it seems like its gonna happen tonight.

lead singer was a disaster. whats with the imitation of Jay Chou? for god sake, this is a song by sylvester, not Jay. not many could argue with the fact that Lucify's lead singer is a very average singer, and maybe a little worse. he does not have a style to start with and with his jay-wannabe singing tonight, one could confirm it. he doesn't have the talent for muffled singing and it doesn't help when his singing was so bad tonight. when there was a problem with the subtitle at the end, my mum and i couldn't make out what he was singing at all. my mum even regretted predicting Lucify to be the winner of the survival round. as bad as the singing was, we should give credits to those who made the music so good. but still, i would rather buy a karaoke version of their album if they do make it to the final. my friend could do better than the lead singer. sucks to be him i thought.

nice effort in making their own version of 心中的日月. wasn't a major change, but still, a little surprise goes a long way. there were a few surprises if you noticed. it was refreshing to see the keyboard player sing as well. it has been very long since i heard him sang. this added to their unity. and of course, the more obvious surprise is the addition of the opera singing and a few climax that were added by themselves. all of them did well, but they could use more surprises and set-up.

superb performance. their outfits were very cool! you could almost sense the vampiric aura even from the seats in front of the TV. coupled with a great dance, they were very well the most entertaining band so far tonight. but... the singing is weak imo. wasn't sure if its the result of lack of practices, but i sure thought they could be better if more efforts were put into the singing part. very well done. gotta love the vampys!

surprise, surprise, surprise. talking about surprises, this is the biggest surprise tonight. 夏日风 actually did quite a good job tonight. they seemed to have taken into consideration the judges' advices. they did a not too shabby job in distributing the singings and dance moves among the band members. Lidan's dancing was great, but it really doesn't fit into the song itself. the song did not talk about anything related to hip-hop and robots right? maybe they could use some logic in this case. their singing were terrible still, but they minimised the damages done by reducing the amount they sang. a good job nonetheless. they had the best improvement imo. that doesn't mean they were the best though.

Juz-B gave us an ordinary performance tonight imo. a little messy in the midst of the song. but still, it was one of the better performance of the night. they did surprised me with the few surprises in between. i believe they should go for songs that contain more power, before it gets boring.

gosh! what the hell were their fans thinking? a screwed up rap coupled with a singing worse than 夏日风. these were the things that turned them on so much. 王仁甫 would be cursing and swearing while 孙协志 would be in a dilemma considering whether to reform 5566 after listening to the performance. yea, 使诺鼻 put 5566 to shame. not in a positive way, but a negative one though. even 陈伟联 wasn't as blind as those fans were! finally, everyone got to hear LAU TAK HUA sing once again. how was it? for one thing, i am as sure as hell that 夏日风 did better. did you regret changing channel while 夏日风 was performing? get what i mean?

they came onto the stage with a fresh look. kiddy looks too. it wasn't at all difficult to link their images with the song they were going to sing. after listening to their performance, i realised that my worries were for nothing. they proved themselves worthy of being the highest scorer twice in a row. with their humour and ever-changing set-up, it isn't a surprise anymore to see them outscoring any other bands. they knew what the audiences were looking for and they put the point into action. if i were to pick on them... i would suggest the lead singer to take up lessons on the placement of his microphone. lOl! he never seem to fail to misplace his microphone. it really gives me a hard time listening to him, lOl!

LOL! if i were visually handicapped, i might mistook them for 夏日风! what a way to end the show! a total disaster. a very dreadful one. everything was in chaos. everyone was intervening into the song in any ways they liked. its either they started too fast or got into the song too slow. top 10? omg! you gotta be kidding me! its as if i was watching the BIG JAM man! horrible music, horrible singing, everything can be explained with their poor preparation and lack of practices. they were lousy anyway. LOL!

what a disappointing week. the only consolation was that 迷路兵 still did as well, 夏日风 with their great improvement. the restriction of song choices seems to affect them badly. imo, 迷路兵 should just be crowned the champion, with Soul being the runner-up. every other bands looked as if they were caught off-guard. i really shouldn't put too much hope in getting much entertainment from this show anymore. it might be more interesting when its down to 5 bands. but its still a long way to go. thanks for bringing back Lucify, i believed Jade could do a job 100X better than them. its quite obvious that 馒头 will be eliminated today... but from the looks of it, they seemed to have quite alot of votes previously. judging from the score they got tonight, their fans might be voting more furiously tonight. if thats the case... i pray for the exit of Amber. it would suck badly if Brods were to get the boot.

Undeads and Me

somehow i am attracted to undeads. i can't really explain my affection for them. in my opinion, undeads are the coolest mythical creatures i have ever come across. what exactly are undeads? from my knowledge, undeads are creatures that were reanimated or raised from deads. their overlords were the necromancers. necromancers had the ability to raise dead or perform reanimation. their rituals are often related to blood, sacrificial of livings. there are many sayings, but this is only one of them. not much is known of the necromancers, whether they themselves were undead. but 1 thing can be confirmed, the skeletons and zombies ain't got brains. they are the minions of the necromancers. vampires were another creatures that belonged to the undeads. they seemed to have the ability to harbour thoughts and were required to feed on the blood of the livings. abominations, yet another creation of the undeads, were made up of several body parts of once-livings. ghouls were just superior zombies in my opinion. a far more superior class than the mindless zombies. but still, they ain't got brains too, just more brawn. undeads are really interesting and are much more fun to explore than a bunch of stupid pixies flying around, or a dorf working his ass off in an underground mine. maybe that is what interest me so much.

omg! my computer survived yet another ordeal. the same crazy shit happened to my computer. auto shutdown, unlimited resetting, cannot boot, fail VGA test, erroneous blune screenie, you name it, i got it. all at 1 go. i thought it was a gone case. damn did i try everything i can. it has been quite some time i troubleshoot using so many methods. luckily, it was because the cable was torn by god-knows-what. anyway, i am glad that my computer is working again. but... my graphic card is giving out a lot of warning, my HDD is already posing problems to me everyday. it would not take long for my PC to die on me. i really hope it can last me till i enter university. i wanna save the money buying a new pc. =D

now and then?

it has been a long time since i slept with my legs curled up to my chest. it has been a habit since young. but since 2-3 years ago, i stopped doing that. until yesterday night, i curled my legs up to my chest uncontrollably while sleeping. it was an indication of my thoughts of the past.

just before i went to bed yesterday, i browsed through my email inbox after a thorough bath. i clicked on the link 'Last'. the first email i have in my inbox was 4 years back. 2002... how time flies. opening those emails one by one, memories flowed into my mind. 4 years back, sending emails was an 'in' thing. or rather, a way commonly used to express your feelings. its was the era of 'IRC' too. 'Internet Relay Chat'.

i could still remember the excitement when recieving an email at that time. almost everyday, there will be at least a new mail in the inbox. what did my friends sent me? or did my crush sent me an email? those were the thoughts. everyday after school, switching on the computer and connecting to 'IRC' was an indispensable routine. you never know who would be online and the suspense of figuring out who was online was always there. would my best pals be online, or better yet, my crush waiting in the chatroom? its full of possibilities and the suspense never runs out. you could talk with a bunch of peoples, or chose to open a new channel and ask a few friends in for a more private discussion. a double click on a name could bring you to a one-on-one chat for personal conversation.

time has changed. almost everything has changed, claiming to be following up to the ever-changing society. changes are presumably good, if not why the changes? but are they really good, or are they just some self-proclaimed 'good' changes that is widely recognised by everyone? everyday, changes are made in all aspects of life. the majority would blindly accept the changes and abandon the old ways, making them obsolete. there would not have been enough time for the majority to consider the usefulness and the purpose of the changes. this is what is called 'trend'. one person do it, 10 people followed blindly, another 100 were influenced and it goes on like a chain letter. people are being taught to adapt to changes readily. but did they not realise, changes should only be made for the better?

emails... does anyone use emails to express their feelings towards other anymore? i doubt so. from the early letter writing, to electronic mailing, to blog. when Email was introduced, letter writing was obsoleted. now, people have a new way of expressing themselves. blogs. but is it as effective as emails? NO. i can almost give a confident answer as fast as you can say 'BLOG'. yes, technologies allow us to communicate in a more convenient way. blog is a very efficient way to express your feelings to the masses. but, is the purpose achieved? i have always thought writing a letter to someone was a way to express your feelings in a sincere way. Email came, the sincerity was not as great as before, but still, the message is still being sent over. and now blog took over email. if you were to blog 'I LOVE YOU' specifically to a person, what are you trying to show? telling the whole world you like that particular person and if by any chance if he or she were to read this, your message would be successfully conveyed? as the changes are made, the ability to reach out to the masses and the convenience is getting better and better. but the sincerity in communication is getting worse and worse. check in your emails, what do you see? out of 10 mails, 3 were your subscription newsletter, 4 were your junkmails, 2 were your friendster update, maybe the 1 left was a rare email from your friends, but in most cases, its just another 'give me 10k and you will inherit a few millions' email. i bet no one can argue that email is no longer a communication medium between friends.

MSN... a powerful tool that took over IRC. i couldn't argue too much with the invention of MSN, as i hardly used it. it might be a more effective tool in locating your friends, but it has far less efficiency in relaying messages imo. how many people have their status as 'away' or 'busy' forever, even right from the start they logged in? why bother to log on to MSN when you are not even interested in using it? MSN is connected automatically when it detects internet connection. even if the owner turns the function off, its only a click away from getting it up. MSN has mostly become a tool to tell people that you are online. in IRC, you could interact with people you don't know. like in #zhss, you could know more people in your school and maybe make new friends. but in MSN, i could see my list with 50% being 'away' or 'busy' for the whole duration. people are losing their ability to communicate face-to-face. that includes me. but i am trying my best to regain that long-lost ability. progress is great and i love the new me. but it takes 2 to make it happens. if i met someone who does not have the ability to do that, its only a matter of time i run out of ways to carry on the conversation.

i thought about alot of things before i slept yesterday. i recalled an incident which happened back in my secondary school times. i could remember it vaguely. i was sec 2 or 3 then, i couldn't really remember. there was once when i went for breakfast in school before assembly. the canteen was always quite empty in the morning. my friends should know that i am always late and never early for school, so it was a brand new experience for me to have breakfast in school that early. and because of that, i saw a girl whom i liked later on. she was having breakfast too. i sat a few seats away, munching on my breakfast and admiring her sweet appearance. from that day on, i went to the canteen for breakfast without fail. everyday i would see her in the canteen in the morning, either having her breakfast, or sitting there doing her homework i supposed. i guess it did not took her long to notice that i was 'stalking' her. despite that, she did not stop her habit of going to the canteen every morning. neither did i. after quite some time, i decided to find her on irc. asking around like a desperado, i managed to chat with her on irc. she was... attractive and friendly. not to forget to mention, playful too. at that time, to me, she was an angel that was sent to earth for a mission. what mission was that, i would not know of, but there is one thing i know. i have fallen for her at that time. i can still remember her mesmerising smile vaguely. we went on to be friends, but wasn't close enough to be anything more. in my memories, she knew that i liked her very much. but i wasn't brave enough to express my feelings for her and as time went on, we slowly forgot about each other. but, it has always been a nice encounter.

look into my eyes (ok, you can't really do that without me appearing before you), touch your heart, can this ever happen in the society like this now? i highly doubt so. this is one of the day where my meter of 'feeling down and down' is very high. no worries, this feeling will wear off in a matter of days...

Superband (Revival Round Result) *live*

omg! Lucify won and the result that are supposedly given by the judges are not revealed? whats this? a scam? or what? i wasn't sore over my lousy predictions, but this really isn't fair to any of the team out there! everyone, with the exception of Glamours, deserves a chance and there should be transparency regarding the results! to me, its just another trick for the organisers to pull Lucify back into the game right at the start. i believe even if Lucify did badly, Jade will still not get a go at the top 10 spot. i mean, come on, issit so hard to reveal the scores given by the judges? and something i noticed, the judges are either reading from a pre-written script or reading from the paper they wrote on. but where is the score? 70% judges, 30% voters. its understandable that voting result should be kept confidential so that people are not able to gauge how much to vote later on. so if they want their team to be in for sure, all they can do is vote blindly until its 11pm. no way are they going to let go of the money tree which is the voting result in this case. but the judges' result? darn, this isn't convincing at all. putting Lucify and Jade as the last 2 teams is only a way to convince us that this is all fair. i am not a fan of any of the teams that performed tonight, but i am really pissed at how this is being handled. this is cheating. imagine the poor girls who called so many times for their favorite teams and ended up crying over a result that has long been sealed way before the revival round starts. its too obvious. the organiser is trying to pull Lucify back in no matter what. as everyone know, Lucify has a larger fanbase, which also means more money can be generated from them. if you are arguing that Lucify had the best performance (yes, they got the highest score imo) and as i mentioned above, the largest fanbase among the 5 teams, why should i fret over their victory? the same question goes back to 'why aren't the scores being revealed? what happened to the scores given by the judges?' or is there no scores given by the judges in the first place? is '70% judges, 30% voters' a hoax all along? everyone are very happy with this setting and might very well overlooked the exclusion of scores as most will think that Lucify is the better team and deserved a top 10 spot. but its far too obvious to omit the revealing of judges' score. even if Lucify did a 夏日风, i believe they will be still through to the next round.

anyway, cheers to Lucify, BOO to Superband's Organiser. the organiser must be in cahoot with the previous board of NKF. you all have to answer to Jade's fans and voters. imo, Jade still has the greater flexibility. and if its money you are after, which is already obvious by looking at 夏日风, Lucify was your choice before they sang. good job.

above is the message i got. its either some crazy guys that spent a hell lot of time voting for them by reconnecting to get a new ip repeatedly, or they really got a huge fanbase out there somewhere. i believe it has to be the latter. don't be surprised if they turned out to be the one on the stage next week.

Superband (Survival of the Fittest Round)

lOl, i gave this round a cool name! survival of the fittest. what do i mean by that? 5 superband-wannabes gonna fight it out to vie for the last spot in top 10. will 静爆乐团 tear down the house with their 静爆-ness? or will G-Force take back what belongs to them after a freaked knockout? is JADE's lead singer going to shock everyone with his singing? Glamours to take the last spot with their 'attractiveness'? Lucify to own everyone with their great music and makeup? all these are the questions flashing across everyone's mind i guess. who should be the one announced as the last band to
be in top 10? if its superstar, it might be hard to determine. but not here i guess.

lets start with G-force. its a pity that they got knocked out for god-knows-why reason. they sure sux when it comes to having a fan base, but their performance in the first round was something that you would consider potential. but the fact is, they do not have a strong voting base to start with, and going out with only 1 performance (2 if you considered the messy preliminary round of 20 bands) doesn't help them gain recognition. but... the voting system has changed. its 70% judges, 30% voting. yea, they might get a go at the last spot if they did good enough. but with so little experience on stage, do you think they can do a 迷路兵? i highly doubt so.

next is Glamours. they are the 2nd team to go out. why? they deserved it imo. with their weak dances and extremely weak singing, they should be glad that they survived the first round. other than 夏日风, Amber are the only team that has a score that is lower than theirs. as i mentioned earlier on, Amber itself has quite a strong voting base, so its just natural for Glamours to enter the exit. ironic. i won't be expecting them to be giving any good performances, but one thing i am sure, i will be seeing more of them as long as they give a decent performance. though the voting % has been reduced to 30%, i believe this will only fuel the voting frenzy that might already be taking place right now.

Jade. what more should i say? they have the same problem every week. thats the lead singer. admit it, his singing is far from good. but... its superband, not superstar. if he sings decent enough today, they might very well fight for a place in the final 10. its an untold fact that they have great music in stall for us. the lead singer will hold the fate of his very own band in his very own hand.

静爆乐团. they are actually facing the same situation as Jade, maybe worse. their lead singer isn't consistent. not that he is not good, but his inconsistency is making him look very very bad. it takes 5 good performances to erase 1 bad performance from a memory. their last performance, before getting the boots, might very well require 10 good performances to make it history. its that bad. a 3 men band is considered small. every mistake is very significant. if the lead singer were to flop, i don't think there is anything the other 2 members can do to make it up.

Last, but not least, Lucify. who can forget about their heavy makeups and the great music they provided? so who's at fault? yup, the lead singer. they chose a song by F.I.R, thinking that they can defy the will of god which eliminates everyone who once sang songs by F.I.R. sadly, they were proven wrong and was shown the exit last week. they might not be very good, but they sure are the favorites in this revival round. continue with the thick makeups, powerful music, nothing should go wrong. or can the lead singer be their undoing once again? he should have enough experience to know not to risk it.

woot! finally no more female songs! though they did not did a very great job, they did enough to have a chance with the newly implemented scoring system. 70% judges, 30% voting. they did a fine job, though the lead singer could be better. obviously, today is not the day for their lead singer, but if their opponents screw themselves up real badly, they could very well enter the next round. thats a BIG IF.

a 3 men force. 3 guys with good voices. they might not be anywhere as good as brods, but their efforts can be detected. with the few exposure on stage, they did great considering that its only their 2nd performance on stage. i am really interested in how they would turn out to be if they have more exposure and guidance from professionals. but still... without their very own musical accompaniment, i can't see them going very far. their weak voting force doesn't help them much.

nice outfits and makeups. great music. great editting of song. its a pity if they did not make it. i must say they have great music. they created a great atmosphere out from nowhere. lead singer did improved greatly, but still, there are alot of room for improvement.

lol! its hard to convince me that they are not the counterpart of 夏日风. they must be in cahoot! lOl! to be fair, their voices are average. but they have a clossal problem. when they are singing, they tend to get carried away by the others. it seems like everyone in Glamours has this problem. notice that when they sang together, they started to lose their directions and end up with weird notes and pitches? i believe that they are very well aware of that. individually, they ain't that bad, but they must learn to sing together. it would be a very tough job for those frenzied voters to ensure their entry into the top 10. nevertheless, the ball is round. if Chelsea can lose to a lousy club, why can't Glamours get into top 10 with sheer 'hardwork' from their fans?

clever. ingenious choice of song. imo, the only purpose of this song is to develop an atmosphere that is very very high. if you are wondering what they are singing, i urged you to not bother about it. there isn't any sense in this song and no singing technique is actually required. but, it requires a really great set up to bring out the essence in this song. guess what, Lucify did it. they did a superb job and deserved a lot for this performance. but how many more songs of this genre are available in the later stages? not many i must say.

woohoo! end of the performances. something that shocked me was the 70% judges 30% voters. hm... food for thought. initially, it has swayed my determination in my choice of team. but after some thoughts, i decided to stick with Glamours. i still believe that there are people out there who would fork out great money to see the only girlband make it into top 10. this will be the only chance left. the change in the % will only means that there is more work to be done. if Glamours were by any chance given the boots, Lucify might very well be the next closest thing to get into top 10. i personally preferred Jade, but it will take a little miracle for them to be back on stage next week.

woot! went back to camp today. was fun hanging out with those guys in camp again. even played a bit of soccer with them just before the intercoy soccer started earlier this afternoon. our team aint very strong, but everyone is trying their best, maybe except for a few. we trailed 2-1 at HT, but luckily, it rained and the match was postponed. hence the voiding of the result too. yippie! the rematch will be on thursday. if able, i hope to go help them out. once a boatman, always a boatman! together we shall thrash alpha coy!

lOl. i just went to rivervale mall to buy my 'lunch'. as i was walking in the middle of the shopping mall, a girl came by and stopped me. she was very friendly and started talking with me. it took me 2.3 seconds to realise that she isn't someone i know. damn, it normally only takes me around a split second to figure out things. i have to say, this approach is very effective. really, this is from the bottom of my heart. she talked about what i am doing, the university i am going to enter, my course, almost anything. after some peptalks, she convinced me to do a 4qn survey. i wasn't too sure how they earn their pay, so as to not be a jerk, i agreed to her request. shortly after the survey, she asked me again to draw a straw for a 'sure win' prize. for the third time, i gently refused and gave her a smile as usual. she asked that i sit down and listen to her regarding the plan. lOl. it took me less than a split second to agree to that. why? cos' i am real bored at home. i got nothing better to do at home too, why not sit down and hear what she has to say. i mean, sitting down, looking at a pretty girl talk while you relax on a chair. sounds good to me. lOl. ok, she isn't really the girl you will die for, but she is above average. just like the normal girls you will see walking on the street. but out of courtesy, i decided to take a seat and activate my 'anti-brainwash' function. i really wonder how they are being paid. if its hourly basis, i might not even bother to help her out. since she will be getting paid no matter what. if it's the number of people you approach, i feel obliged to help her out. but if it's commission based... all i have to say is sorry, i can't help you in anyway. lOl. she talked to me about the plan, how a $30k can BOOM into $43k in 25 years, while mentioning the measly $800 that i will 'amass' if the $30k were to be in a POSB bank. obviously, i have heard this before, and even told her way before hand. =D i was trying to help her out so that she won't have to repeat the same o' thing all over again. she did not go into detail as i showed ultimate determination that the conclusion won't change no matter what she says. during the talk, i reminded her 3 times that i am not really interested in a polite manner + a trademark smile. heh, its kinda cute to see her staring at me blankly when it came to a stalemate. i offered my handshake and she replied with 1 too. seems like my '3 words' answers and repetitive nodding of head as a reply made her speechless. and if by any chance you (yup, the female promoter) come across this blog, i wanna say sorry to you~ =D i really isn't interested in such a plan where you have to wait for 25 yrs before you get the lump sum. as my family's financial status is very unstable... i wouldn't know if anything will happen from now to 25 yrs later. anyway, i should have accepted the packet of drink she offered. it was part of the talk. it might make me looks friendlier? hoho! good luck in your job wor! kambate! =D

Cry_Wolf

this has to be one of the best movie i have seen! maybe its because i don't watch much movie at all. but i am quite sure, with 80% of the market flooding with stupid, brainless horror flicks, this isn't one of them. if anything is worth the money, this is definitely it. the cast is terrific. and if you are wondering who they are, yes, they are unknowns. except for bon jovi as Mr. Walker. a bunch of unknowns with the capability of high-profilic actors. beat it.

the story is full of suspense and depth. not to forget about the smart conversations. there isn't a moment you will think of getting a drink without missing the show. once i started watching it, i am glued to my seat. i was intending to buy my lunch, but decided to take a peek at this movie. and now, 4:07pm, i have not even ate my lunch. and here i am, blogging away to show how impressed i am with this movie. every question in the movie has more than 1 answer. from 1 question, it seems like another question is being answered in place. but... remember that every question has more than 1 answer? the other answer answered another question in a different way. its a chain reaction, there is so many possibilities. at every stage, the movie convinced you that 'Wolf' is someone. but after a few mins, Wolf's supposed identity is being changed again. this show has proven how a man's creativity can cause a spark of suspicion into something horrible. a game, that is supposed to be built on lies, led to great mistrust, which eventually led to a huge tragedy. this movie is obviously underrated. i give a 10 out of 10 for the smart conversation, great set-up, details, twisted mentality and all-in-all greatness.

and i am deeply in love with mattew owen and dodger. both of them are always carrying the ever-professional tones and expressions. this is what convinced people to believe what the movie wants them to believe. great acting i must say. definitely worth the money!

Pasar Malam Cum Funfair @ compass point

was bored and decided to go down to the pasar malam and take a look. asked one of my friend down yesterday, but she working got no time, =( i expected it to be quite boring to go alone, but never expect it to be soooo boring. there really isn't anything much @ the pasar malam, though the pasar malam itself is quite big. there are at least 2 same stalls for each category. other than the usual clothes, mattress, daily necessity, titbits stalls, there is nothing that catches my attention. maybe the keychain-making stall... but there is nothing really special about it too. yup, you guessed it, there are 2 such stalls in the whole pasar malam. it seems like an unspoken rule that for every stall selling a specific kind of thing, there must be another stall doing the same somewhere at the other end of the pasar malam. if i am not wrong, there is only 1 stall that is unique. the 1 selling smelly tofu. yup, 臭豆腐. 台湾的臭豆腐. out of curiosity, i went to bought 1 set. the set itself only has 4 pieces and it cost $2. sigh. seems like a major ripoff. $2 for a brand new experience might be a good tradeoff afterall. it was a long wait and the steep price attempted to sway me from my decision to buy it. eventually, my determination to try it out triumped and i bought a set home. and by the way, the long wait isn't due to long queue. in fact, there isn't any queue, its just that its made 'fresh'. ironic. fermented tofu made fresh. lOl. anyway, the box is in front of me and i decided to eat after i finish this post. anyway, lets go ahead with the next topic.

the funfair. it has to be the worst funfair i have ever seen. maybe i have seen worse, but at the look of the patronisation, this is the worst i swear. there will always be a highlight ride in every decent funfair. sadly, the person collecting the tix at the 'highlight ride' has to go around persuading people to try out the seemingly 'EXCITING' ride. no one responded though. the machine stood there like it was there way before the birth of dinosaurs. it wasn't abit interesting too. no wonder no one even bothered trying it. and for some other 'sure win' games, the usual 'play a game win a prize' stalls, the response is far from average. there is at most 1 person at each stall playing, and for more than half of the stalls, there isn't even a person looking, not to mention playing. i even saw a ride being activated just for a 4-5yrs old indian girl. she got the whole ride for herself. lOl. she must be proud of it. maybe it isn't something to be proud for someone our age, but for a little kid like her, having the whole ride for herself is something to boast in class. provided she does not leak out the fact that no one wants to even try it out. lucky my friend did not come along with me... if not she will be bored to death and it might very well be the last outing of the year. lOl!

nO mOrE wOrK Le...

sigh. crowd subsided le, no more work liao also. the most sad thing is that the friends i just made there, i will have to lose them so fast... haizk. though i was very sad when i heard that they don't need me anymore, never did i once lifted an eyebrow or appeared shocked or sad. i don't want my friends to feel sad. i have made a few very good friends during the duration of the job length (from last sat till now). the first thing that came into my mind, when i was told that i was no longer needed after work today, was to be calm. i was especially funny on the way home with my colleagues. i was trying to hide my sadness. we exchanged telephone numbers at the end and i hope we have a chance to come together again. no more lunch with them during lunchtime at jurong east, no more chit-chatting together during working hours, no more sharing the bad experience with a bad customer... just felt so sad. never felt so sad before, even though i have quitted so many jobs before. everyday was a day to look forward to. this might very well be the first time i am so happy at work and might be the very last time too. jobs are hard to come by, nice colleagues are even harder to come by. life goes on... .______.

lOl! ok, i will be posting my top 6, top 4 and also my prediction for revival round. rankings are not in order though.

-Glamour

its hard to choose from them. but to me, Glamour should have no problem coming back. no matter how their performance will be. good or bad. guys won't be voting for them, but gals will be entering into a frenzy state voting for them. its hard to see the other 3 teams, 静爆乐团, Jade and Lucify to be able to breeze past Glamour in term of voting. of them all, 静爆乐团 was the worst. lost the round despite having a 1.5 points advantage over 馒头. Jade isn't any better when they couldn't overcome the 3.4 points deficit compared to 静爆乐团. their fan base might be a little stronger than 静爆乐团, but still, isn't strong enough to win the revival round. Lucify is the better choice of all 3 as they are indeed the 3rd weakest team with Amber as 2nd and 夏日风 as the weakest. Amber have an advantage over Lucify in terms of points and voting base, so it isn't a surprise to see them go out. G-force? its already a long-forgotten band. no chance at all. Lucify will be the next closest team to fight with Glamour for the precious slot in top 10. still, do not underestimate girl power. as long as the point deficit of Glamour compared to Lucify isn't greater than 5, it shouldn't be a problem for the Band of Sisters.

Superband (5th round result)

lOl! Lucify OUT! jackpot! i exchanged sms with a friend of mine, telling her that we will be seeing more of 夏日风 and its only down to Amber and Lucify. obviously, i chose Lucify over Amber as you can see in last post. she hoped for Amber to be out if 夏日风 is gonna to be through. when the red light lights up for Amber, i was also disappointed for my friend. to be true, Lucify deserves to stay more than Amber. Lucify did gave nice performances in the past, while Amber did not impress me at all. maybe once, when they sang until they ownselves so high and the judges gave them high points. but to me, that performance was so-so, as there isn't really any singing involved, only pure screaming. as Lucify and 夏日风 were the only 2 teams left on the stage, the result is clear. for those who have hatred for 夏日风 more than Dan Brown's Da Vinci have for Jesus, they will be rooting for Lucify. when 夏日风's light was lited, i sighed a heave of relief. i assumably bet 5k with my mum on the spot. lOl! she said she will pay me in rupiah, better than nothing. lOl! and now there is a 10k bet pending. my bet for the week after, 夏日风 to be going through as long as the point deficit is not greater than 15 points. if only 夏日风 are my friends... i won't have to work so hard liao, LOL!

Superband (5th round) *oops! late!*

heh! ok, i posted this way too late because i got so much things to do and have not much time for this. was trying to sleep whenever i can, wahaha! anyway, i had it all written on a piece of paper while watching, so it's here now!

so its superband monday again! *lOl, feels weird writing this now* as usual, i will share my opinion before the *start* of the show, heh!

what am i expecting this week?
-夏日风 giving a hell of performance after the inspired performance last week by their lead singer.
-迷路兵 to be as super duper as usual but will still be given average points by judges.
-Amber, Lucify to be struggling.
-史诺鼻 to be giving another performance of jumping around, loud music and VERY mediorce rapping.
-Brods to be at their best again!
-Soul giving another professional dancing lesson for all!

after seeing the list of songs they will be singing prior to the show itself, i was a little worried about J3. they chose to sing 三国恋... which is very difficult in my opinion. hope they will pull off a great escape and shocked the judges with this change of soothing voice to an explosive 1! 使诺鼻 as usual, will be giving us another round of rapping and so called 'high'. on the other hand, i will be looking forward to Juz-B performance where they will be singing 进化论. Lucify, if i am not wrong, is again singing FIR's song. duh, good luck pitting for the lowest point with 夏日风. Soul chose a good song(Come On - Energy). this song does not require too much good singing, but instead focus more on your stage charisma which they have abundant. won't be shocked to see them end up with the highest point. 迷路兵 with a song by 张信哲 gonna rock the house tonight! =D

Cool dude! 进化论 melayu style! LJJ, beat that! lOl! a very cool performance and a great way to start the show man! i simply love their precise pronounciation, really put alot of chinese to shame! bring the song to another height they did!

三国恋! woohoo! omg! J3 with ultimate power! an explosive song sang to the fullest! although the music isn't the greatest (it seems to me that some parts are too fast, either that or mediacorp editted it), but the singing is power! i agree that the high pitch part is not very good, but you will understand if you ever try it. its just simply weird how tank did it and if he will be able to do it in the concert. they should deserve more for their good effort!

B3.夏日风 (19.0)
disappointing. even the lead singer isn't performing at his best like last week. why did he started to cosplay like an idiot again? damn, last week it was 4 idiots and a superstar, this time round, its 5 dumbasses trying to act out an enid blyton's fairytale. with 2 females screaming at high pitch, 2 lousy male voices and a set of wtf-dancesteps, this gotta be the biggest joke of the year! please, just let the lead singer lead the whole show. we have a winner here!

零. hm... something is amiss. i can't tell. but what i can tell is that, the lead singer is improving and has great explosive strength. but... the singing might be a bit flat and boring. but the music was great, singing was great, they deserves something better.

just leave this show please. rap until no breath. mumble through so many parts. although lau tak hua is rapping better than last week when he is not losing his breath or mumbling, but its still very bad. does the judges have impaired hearing? my mum shared my sentiments totally. if you can't sing, and you run out of breath rapping, what else can you do? might as well release a musical album featuring heavy metal music. the music is great, but 2 weeks later, when they lose the ability to choose their own songs, its time for them to leave the stage. i would like to see how lau tak hua can sing better than anyone in 夏日风.

OMG! even 动力火车 will praise brods for their ability to sing this song! damn! its a waste that they never go for superstar! even a person with superior singing skill couldn't sing this song as good as them! 2 handsome guys with 2 god-sent voices. what more are you expecting girls?

singing is... lousy. a very mediorce performance. might very well be the next to go in place of 夏日风. if this performance deserves a 30.5, which is the same as what J3 gets, i dunno what is to be expected from the judges anymore.

lOl. lead singer is a joke. he does not have the ability to even sing well and should stop singing female songs if they want to go further into this competition. they are in a dire situation with only Amber having the chance to be eliminated in place of them. at the look of this, Lucify has a 90% chance of going down tonight. if you want to sing a song sang by female, you should be putting alot of efforts in it. forgetting the basic lyrics even? i don't see any effort being put in. its time to bring your imaginary dog home for a rest. good bye.

omg! seeing how they performed really inspired me to dance like them! no way will i be able to dance like them even after 10 years of trying! the real beauty of dancing! singing was the best till now! its the perfect performance that everyone has been waiting from them! a 9.9 no doubt!

its the end of the show again. alot of bands are improving tremendously and while the lousiers one are having their worst performances of all time. it isn't too hard to see which teams are going off soon. Amber, Lucify, 夏日风 and 使诺鼻. these 4 are by far the only lousy teams around. 使诺鼻 won't be going off so soon, but they will not be smelling the top 5 when they lose their rights to choose their own songs.

its there any rapping songs in these category? if there isn't, goodbye to 使诺鼻 in advance. for this week, Amber and Lucify will be having a huge face-off. why did i omit 夏日风? they have a HUGE 10 points deficit compared to Lucify and a STAGGERING 11.5 points difference compared to Amber. it isn't the first time 夏日风 does a david copperfield and today won't be the time where you see David being unable to pull a rabbit out of his hat. if 夏日风 were to pull through, which i think is highly possible, Lucify will be the obvious one to say goodbye. Amber has already been put to test last week when they survived. their voting power is not to be underestimated. Lucify on the other hand proves to have a weaker fan base and having a 1.5 points deficit compared to Amber isn't going to help them much.

'There is no need to be in shock. I am old enuff to know money is biggest in this world. Contrary to popular belief, Summerbreeze staying power implies more money is going into the pockets of the organisers. So from organiser point of view, Summerbreeze is their money tree. Shake a bit dollar bills come down!!!! :P

Does the organisers care if a inferior group is on stage? I think they care more is how much money they can milk from the groups regardless they are good or inferior. That is how business work in this world and this competition to the organiser is a business model modelled after Superstar, Campus Superstar, Star Idol etc. These behind the scenes people sure know how to think of ways to make money for company :P'

that was taken from a forum. lOl! he shares the same sentiments as me. cheers to the organiser! i myself believed the 19 points given by the judges are being set up specially for them. this will force 夏日风 to vote more and that means more money for the oragniser. i can even sense a 12-13 points difference between 夏日风 and the 2nd worst team the week after. believe me, 夏日风 gonna be in top 6. its too late for them to stop voting for themselves. its the contract they are aiming for to recover the money. and this will only mean BIGGER money for the organiser if they planned to give 夏日风 a greater point deficit. but do not expect a deficit of more than 17 points, the oragniser won't be taking such great risk of losing a money tree. and due to this, i don't see how Amber can survive the week after, unless their fans do a 夏日风.

yay! finally came back from work le! work up at 5am today to prepare and go to work. soooo tired and sleepy. practically slept through the whole journey to outram park to jurong east. went to the hawker center nearby the CPF building to have a light breakfast. fianlly, i went to report for work. i must say i love this job. not because that the job isn't tough, but the working environment and my colleagues. my colleagues are veri frenly! maybe becos all of us are waiting for uni ba! girls are helpful too~ =D although i stood for 8hrs... (heels now veri pain, dunno tml work how, lOl), but i simply love the job! helping the elders with their qns is enjoyable, but at times, there will be some demanding 1s with bad attitudes... but thats the minority. lunch was great too. one of my female colleague treat us peanut butter ice kachang. she say veri nice, den force us to try. indeed, its quite nice! =D but she had gastric pain after work, must be the peanut butter ice kachang! lOl! hope she will be alrite! come to think of that... i haven ask her what's her name. lOl. so she will stay annonymous for now, =P *work work* *warcraft 3 orc peasant*

ooo, finally got the time to write about this liao. hm... i realised an interesting thing. maybe to me its interesting, to anyone of you all its boring, but hey, this is my blog!!! lOl. ok, just kidding. i realised something interesting. argh, i said it twice. i found out that i am quite dependent on female companions. isn't that interesting? ok, i am starting to irk you i supposed. i'll try not to, lOl. i like communicating, though i am not really good @ that. from every schooling experiences, i have a few female frens who are always very helpful to me. be it pri sch, sec sch, jc 1st 3 months, or jc. i have always been showered with care and concern from my female frens. its weird though... they always treated me specially. so i started to think that i have a special ability. of cos, its an imaginary special ability, but i really can't find anything to describe it. if you are thinking i am boasting or bullshiting... please don't. i am just sharing. but the problem is... i am always too afraid to accept too much 'care and concern' from girls. yea, although i have alot of guts in doing all the things people do not dare to, but when facing girls, the guts seem to shrink into the blackhole. girl-shy. some ppl will think i like acting cool in front of girl, but hell no, i am just shy. maybe because of my shyness, girls tend to be more attracted to helping me out. but i did not realli tell them my appreciation for them... thats what i regretted. every educational level ends mean an end to my relationship with my school friends. not everyone, but close to 90%. i dunno why too. i hardly have the habit of doing catch-up with friends. eventually, everyone forgets me and by the time i want to talk to them, we are filled with estrangement. i hate that. i hate myself for that. i have learned that, if you are appreciative of someone, make it known to her, even if it will cause a misunderstanding. for all the girls who showed extra attention to me... a big thank you to you all. i really miss you all very much and sincerely hope the best for you all! without the extra care and concern you all gave me, i won't be the same me. i have to owe my guts and confidence to everyone who once helped me.

WorK and MooD

hm... i found out something. everytime before i start working and is at home, i always have a reluctant feeling to leave home for work. lOl. but just before the time of leaving the house, i will be more enthu. haha, happens to me everytime. even if its going out. maybe i am too lazy to leave home ba, =P ok lar, very tired recently, cos schedule too packed. just came back from giving tuition and tomolo needa wake up @ 5:15am to go to work. 5pm leave work, 7pm must reach back home in time for superband, 11:30pm result, in between must blog about my opinions on the bands, and after 11:30 must update result and comments again. LOL! although thinking of it i hate for tomolo to come, but when it comes, i feel great having so much things to do. wednesday must go dental checkup and if i cannot get MC, must go back to CAMP again! lOl. might sounds bad, but actually i find it quite alright too. i will be missing camp alot, and have started missing it quite a bit already. the reason why i missed camp is the interaction with so many people. love, hatred, satisfied, tired, fun! all in 1! gotta miss this kind of life where you can walk out of bunk and walk around in camp as you want. i will never be able to experience this kind of life again. its a good experience. in the mean time... without any girls in my life, i will have to keep myself fully occupied to remove the feeling of loneliness.

where am i?

omg... very packed... not my closet, its my schedule that is packed. went to give tuition today. from 1030-4 i was outside. only reached home by 5. by the time i reached home, my head is spinning (now its at 160rpm). fatigue lvl is @ all time high. never felt like this for 1+yrs le. even my more xiong training also not as tiring. and thing doesn't end here. tomorrow 7:30am i will have to be at jurong east doing crowd control. nice pay, $8 per hour. one of my best buddy intro me 1. he is weibin, in case anyone knows him. lOl. don't go around calling him for job wor. cos by the time you call him, this thing left 1 day liao. lOl. so as to say, i will be only doing this for 2 days and most probably there will be no crowd to control, and therefore no more job around. supposedly its until 5pm or 5:30pm i can't remember, but on sunday... i have to teach tuition again. so from 7:30pm onwards, i will be in AMK teaching tuition. and by the time i go home, i should have just enough energy to collapse on the bed. any more energy consumed might cause me to hyperventilate. monday i have to go nee soon camp to check if i got wisdom tooth, and if got, will pluck it out too. in the afternoon on monday, i will have to go back camp for checkup. if time allows, i will need to go bradell to settle some stuff regarding the job given to me by weibin. and if the doctor certify that i have no wisdom tooth, most probably i will be back in camp on tuesday. ARGH!!! ZOMGWTFBBQ!!! i planned MC for the next 2 weeks and if i did not get them, i will be seeing more of army for the next 2 weeks!!! OMG!!! an eventful week. cheers to me.

a very sad episode of Guess³

i am writing this after watching the first 6 mins of guess³ made on 29th april in taiwan. which means it will be showed next weekend. this is the last episode for 阿雅... so sad... although the next episode after the 1 next week will still feature 阿雅, but its pre-recorded... anyway, 阿雅 left 2 days ago le... so sad...

Superband (4th round result)

after checking the official webby for superband, i found out 静爆乐团 was eliminated yesterday. shocking. i was expecting Amber to be out first, and maybe 静爆乐团 next week. maybe the lead singer not handsome enough to gain enough votes to offset the 3 points difference between them and Amber? there are rumors 馒头 has the support of kelly's fans... lOl. the game of rich people. anyway, seeing how 夏日风 take out 静爆乐团 with a 4 points difference through voting, it goes to show that how rich their fans are, or they are. yea, just as some suggested, the lead singer in 夏日风 should sing solo while the other 4 keep their mouth shut and just hop around. or rather sit down. this might be able to get them higher points. anyway, we will be seeing alot more of them in this competition. as more and more average bands are being kicked out, the more exciting it is. survival of the fittest, Amber, be prepared.

Superband (4th round)

its monday again and its time for SUPERBAND again! ok, i'm just bored. it isn't as entertaining and exciting as 绝对superstar or 校园superstar, but there is simply nothing better to watch. Jade went out last week, another band to be sacrificed in place of 夏日风. so what am i expecting this week?
-夏日风 netting the same o' score. come on! you can strive for a lower score! you can do it!
-Amber, Lucify, 静爆乐团, 史诺鼻 to be struggling.

why? Amber isn't there yet. they have never been there before. and they won't. last week was a break for them, but how many more songs are of the same genre as the song they sang last week?

Lucify. crap singers imo. i would bet that the lead singer will be walking the stage as if he is dragging a dog that refused to let him walk it around. sluggish. i would prefer him sitting down and sing. the only thing that is good to note is their appearance. nice makeup i must say. not everyone can wear that same makeup and has the effect like they do. but their singings + lead singer's sluggishness, i doubt they will have anything special. 周崇庆 will be giving them high pts regardless of anything as usual. that i can be sure. boo³ to him.

静爆乐团. as i have said last week, 'if it gets any boring... they will be in for a relegation battle.'. i believed the week for them has come. they may have 'shuaige' in the band, but with the inconsistency of their lead singer, its like predicting whether wigan will win its next match in EPL. i sure hope they can continue with their good performance... as i would love to see the next team i am going to mention out of this competition.

史诺鼻. its 鼻, not 比. that i just realised not long ago. back to topic. i have disliked them from the start and my dislike for them keeps growing. simple reason. you won't be able to see any jumping monkey while listening to the CD. all you will be able to hear is someone who is rapping off beat, off tune. first you were cheering for them, the next moment, CD in the bin. come on, just think. you expect them do sign the record contract and produce a CD that is 1 million times inferior to jay chou's? oh man, give me a break.

i will be expecting something great from Brods, 迷路兵 and J3. Juz-B might be running out of fuel as repetitive a-capella might prove to be their undoing. let the music begin!

lOl! this is the best set up i have ever seen! everything seems to connect so well! everything was well planned and very entertaining! thats the stuff that would keep you asking for more during a concert! the effort put it is great! singing wise, at some part of the song, lead singer seems to sing off tune, but his singing technique and the unique voice is really something to look forward to!

not as good as before. its just too repetitive. they need something new. their a-capella is a little confusing to me for today's performance. good, but if the same o' thing comes up again next week... it will be past expiry date.

soothing voices. the distribution of 'who sings what' is very good. nice effort! =D could be better if they have a change in their performance. like a few judges said, their voices are soothing, but not enough explosion in the chorus part. you know what i mean right? (yea, my translation sux, lOl)

hm... an average performance. lingering on the border of good and bad. the vocal range required for this song is very big. its too much for the lead singer to handle. well... average. not as bad as i thought it would be. just average.

singing was worse than previous performances? thats what i thought. the dance during the singing isn't very confident and tidy. but the dance at the end is fantastic. as usual... they better buck up on their singing. their singing in previous performances was good for me, but this week, i thought it was bad. if you noticed, some of their dance moves are copied from previous performances... better make full use of them before the expiry date is up...

i simply love the jay chou's version of 蓝色风暴, but i cannot say the same for Lucify. quoting from simon 'it is that bad'. ok, not to that extent. but it wasn't good at all. the lead singer just simply scream the whole thing out. yea, as if he is going for a gang fight shouting the gang's fighting cheer. as usual, the lead singer has once again brought his dog along and his dog seems as reluctant as ever. lucky for you, you got a sugar daddy who will alway give you high score. call 周崇庆 your papa.

sigh. the more i see them, the more i hate them. other than the 'jumping monkey' and the appearances, the singing and crapping are crap and in a mess. i forgive the 'jumping monkey' for not being able to hit the pitch as i know it is DARN hard. but for the lau tak hua, come on, even my friend can do better than you. i bet you don't even know what you are rapping about. i wouldn't want to buy an album with a mediorce rapping and to see a 'jumping monkey' @ the concert. give me a ticket to their concert and a ticket to the zoo. i will take the latter.

omg! i actually do like the performance. to put it better, i like the performance of the LEAD SINGER. he did great! the others... as usual, are horrifying. i am confident that his rapping is much better than lau tak hua from 史诺鼻. nice movement from lead singer too! he is the soul of the band! a flower on a pile of shit. ok, i don't mean to be crude to the other members of 夏日风, just wanna show how outstanding the lead singer was. they should really consider finding another 2 female singers. i do not want to see them strangling those 2 female singers if they lost. as if listening to them sing isn't bad enough. too bad lead singer couldn't save the day enough. 1 good performer + 4 LOL performers = better of the WORSE. if they were still around next round, i hope to see the lead singer again. simply great!

nice dance and movement. the judges are crap. comparing theirs to professionals from Soul, of course it isn't anything great. why not compare 迷路兵's singing to Soul's singing? Soul is crap too. though rap isn't the brothers' forte, they were not too shabby. and i love their courage for trying out rapping. its a new change and a change that ain't bad is GOOD! and people likes GOOD changes! that means 1 less song for lau tak hua too! come on, seriously speaking. close your eyes and listen to Brods and lau tak hua rap, you will think that the latter is ripped from a broken pirated CD. nice change! provide a brand new performance. but i still prefer their old ways. man can never be satisfied. the judges are crap. 'i hope to see new changes in you all' 'hm... i think rap isn't for you all, the old style is better'. so what do you want judges? 猛男秀?

overall, i really think that the judges are insane. giving points any way they want as if they are keying in their lucky number for that particular moment. imo, 夏日风 is not too bad and do not deserve such low points. imo, 静爆乐团 was far more worse than them. Brods being the 2nd last? come on, start using your brains judges before they start to grow fungus. if you have difficulty giving out appropriate points, den don't bother to talk so much crap. and i still doesn't understand why 迷路兵 is always underrated despite such good feedbacks. imo, they are the best tonight. and if given a choice, i will turn off the TV after watching their performance. so for the prediction today. i will not be going with 夏日风 to be relegated, instead, i got a feeling 静爆乐团 or amber is gonna bite the dust today. i really hope my feeling is right... the last thing i want to see is for Brods to go out of this competition due to the stupid judges...

KFC part 2 : the cheese fries and Star Wars : Attack of The Clone

after i finished my cheese fries, i left the empty box on my computer table while i proceed to the meaty part. still feeling sad and sore over my whipped potato, i ate my 2pc chicken with the company of chilli. watching guess³ on my computer screen while chewing away on my 2pc chicken has got to be the best moment of the day. after i finished eating, i start to put everything away. to my horror (2nd time of the day), there were clones invading my room!!! to be exact, red ants scurrying on my computer table. with the HAND OF GOD, i started punishing each and everyone of them by putting the sheer weight of my finger onto each and everyone of them. and if thats not bad enough, i sent them down 15 levels to hell. basically, thats because i flipped them out of the window and i lived on the 15th floor. anyway, i managed to kill @ least 95% of them (including those in the box). there is always some lucky survivors, but they will not be around for long. i am planning for a big wipeout by using a lure. this time, i gonna put my HAND OF GOD to better use. the time of judgement is near. the time to kill the holy red ants has come. (as to why they are referred to holy is because, they are of great numbers and never seem to die out, i refer them to god here)

KFC, auntie, appreciation, whipped potato, hungry, sad

arGh!!! today, i went to KFC to buy my lunch. i asked the auntie for the discount coupon, she said no coupon cannot buy sia, but she secretly help me. for a sec, i was grateful to her. she packed everything and collected money from me. during that short interval, she told me more than three times, 'no coupon cannot buy'. still, i kept replying her with 'thank you'. its weird as to why i like to say 'thank you' and smile back to people who are selling things or giving services. it must be that time... long time ago, for whatsoever reason that i forgot, i started to appreciate people who sell things and provide services. mainly because i saw singaporeans who are very rude to them and i am one of the victims too when i was working as part-timer. gradually, i began to appreciate them and till now, i have this habit going on. finally something great is being implanted into me. woot! back to topic. after i paid up and she gave me the changes, she asked me to wait. she then shoved 2 leaflets(discount coupons) into my bag. i was once again grateful and said my usual 'thank you' coupled with a smile. at the same time, i am confused. why did she not give me those coupons earlier on like what other people did? and during the first time round, she told me that the coupons were out of stock. that makes her day. but that did not make my day. the reason is because of... WHIPPED POTATO. when i went back home, to my horror, i found out she did not give me my whipped potato!!! OMG!!! WAHHHHHH!!! great. the discount was nullified and i even incurred a loss by changing the colesaw to cheese fries. what i was given did not fill my stomach. grrrr... sad.

WAH!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

OMG! i just got the greatest shock of the year... my dog was lying on the floor four legs pointing up to the sky. freaked me out totally! i went closer, her eyes are open, but no matter how i push her, she has no response. i was like, ZOMFGWTFBBQ! i tried blowing air into her eyes, no movement still. i stopped and look at her for a while. her chest is moving. a few seconds later, she stretched herself and looked at me. i was like 'dude, you got me'. and now she went back to sleep in that akward position again. damn, how i just hate her... for freaking me out.

Superband (3rd round result)

omg, Jade is really out. blame it on my stupid mouth. it isn't the team i want out though... i would prefer to see Lucify, Amber or 史诺比 to be out. they lack the consistency and ability to be all rounded. pure yelling and rapping doesn't make a superband. 夏日风? come on, we need them to stay to let them provide us with more and more hilarious performances every week. that kinda help relieve stress. ahhh~ what a good laugh.

Superband (3rd round)

came back home from a mini gathering with some old friends. was cool. and now its time to bring my opinions on the superbands. some things that i would expect before the show -
1)夏日风 netting the lowest score again
2)Amber, Lucify, Jade, 静爆乐团 to be struggling.

personally, i like the following bands, Brodz, J3, 迷路兵, Juz-B and Soul. i find them talented in 1 way or another. Brodz with the dual power, J3 with the soothing aura, 迷路兵 full of energy and unique, Juz-B's a cappella and good command of chinese language, Soul's dance. 夏日风 is the next big thing imo. i believe mediacorp register them for the wrong show. was it 'Never Say Die' the programme they were supposed to be entering? nevertheless, their courage for entertaining us with their performances should be commended. they will still be a good laugh today.

B1.馒头
an ok performance. not bad, but not very good too. its either the music is too loud, the lead singer is too soft, or i am hearing things. i don't really enjoy hearing the lead sing though. its an OK voice. i like the band as a whole though. lead singer is getting more experience in handling the stage, but i find that his singing is getting abit worse than the previous time.

ultimate! marvellous! very very good. they have alot of charm by nature. they bring out the song very well! esp during the part with continuous high pitch, OOOMMMGGG... how i wish i could have his vocal. both of them are good in different aspects and they did well distributing who will be singing which part. they have maximised their good points to the fullest tonight.

music-wise very good. but lead singer is quite bad. the band-mates(not including the lead singer) are much more involved in making the atmosphere high. lead singer is just walking around like a headless chicken churning out voices.

1st high pitch was horrible. but good overall. they have a little bit of charm but need a breakthrough. if it gets any boring... they will be in for a relegation battle.

musical instruments played well. rapping is still not good enough. rap is hard i know, but with the inability to sing well and a normal rapping skill, only the malays can save them from being eliminated soon.

oh man! this is what i call professional! i was smiling all the way, tapping my feet according to the rythem. its the ultimate enjoyment to see them perform and their smiles are really dazzling. a perfect performance imo!

my prediction : bye Jade. sad to say, but voting is cruel. based on last week result, 夏日风 seems to have a very huge fanbase, or just have loads of $$ to spare calling. anyway, Jade is the closest team to be eliminated in place of 夏日风. i believe 夏日风 will be back with more hilarious performance.
