Financial worries in my dream

Its 7am in the morning now and i am sitting right in front of my computer. I slept at 2am earlier today and faced a rude awakening on the exact same morning at 6am... I had a very bad dream, something that has been bothering me since the end of my army life. Yes, it is the financial problem i am going to face going into university. It seems like a neverending horror and now it has even invaded my dream. 2 days ago, my dream was about relationships with my friends, friends of all places. Yesterday, it was another problematic weird dream and now, its the financial bug catching up on me. To be exact, i have been having bad dreams recently and it cannot have been worse than the latest one. Although i did not find myself breaking into sweat when i woke up, but i was shaken and momentarily petrified. I was in a daze which lasted for quite some time. What made it worse is that, the first thought that came into my mind after the 'blackout' was 'did i miss my tuition time?'. Money, money, money. It was as if the aftershock that was left by my dream wasn't bad enough and i had to scare myself with another problem that seemed so real. Luckily, i came to realise that it was 6am in the morning, not 6pm in the evening. In the latter case, i would be very, very late. I have come to a realisation how big the amount will be snowballed if i left it alone for 4 years. I have calculated the estimated amount spent over 4 years to be $50k. That includes school fee, hostel, personal allowance and a one-time laptop expense. Yup, you will be asking, why hostel when you can't afford it? In fact, i have thought long and hard. Yes, financially wise, it is a NO-NO to stay in hostel, BUT i will be wasting a hell lot of a time if i spend it travelling from one end of the island to another every weekday. After the consideration of the importance of time, hostel became an indispensible part in my life in university. To my pleasure, there is finally some news on the work study scheme at NTU. Though there is still no mentioning of pay, but the limit of working hours per week has been published. 10 hours per week is the maximum. If they offer $5/hr, i can possibly net in $200 per month in school, which will cover my hostel fee. Every bit of money counts now... its time for me to go money-hunting.

$50k is a rough estimate. $60k during the course of 4 years will be what i am aiming, in case any other expenses pop out (I am sure there will be. Though negligible, but they will still incur quite a big sum over the 4 years).

TARGET - $60,000
