university and my financial status
*UPDATED*
everything is based on 1 year.
expenses
====================================
NTU tuition fee = $5,650
Hostel (single) = $195 X 12 = $2340
Personal Allowance = $300 X 12 = $3600
Laptop (MAX) = $2500
Total = $14090
aids and income
====================================
Bursary = $4000
income from tuitions = $(240+220+250) X 12 = $8520
Total = $12520
Grand Total = $14090 - $12520
= -$1570/yr
= -$130.83/mth
this is the rough estimation of my expenses and income when i enter university. i have limited my personal allowance to $300 per month. seems ridiculously low with the current inflated price. if i could find a meal @ $4... $4 X 3 X 30 = $360. thats $60 more than expected... and that does not includes transportation... and its also based on the assumption that i got the bursary and giving tuitions while studying. the number is just pure scary. i have calculated quite an optimistic number for the expenses, as i have not found a room mate as of yet. if i were in NUS, i would have a few choices, but in NTU, no luck. hopefully things will be better...
anyone got any idea how i could get financial aids or more income? or you think there should be something else added to the expenses? would be thankful if you can post some suggestions here. thanks in advance!
